A UGANDAN WEDDING

SATURDAY, APRIL 26TH, 2008

OUR DEAR FRIENDS AND CO-LABORERS, DOUGLAS AND SHEILA WERE MARRIED IN A BEAUTIFUL CEREMONY. OUR FAMILY WAS BLESSED TO BE A PART OF THE FESTIVITIES, WITH DELANEY AS A FLOWER GIRL, WALKER AS RING BEARER, AND I WAS ASKED TO READ A SCRIPTURE AND PRAY FOR THEM. THESE ARE TWO OF THE MOST WONDERFUL FRIENDS THAT WE HAVE, AND WE PRAY THAT GOD WILL BLESS THEIR MARRIAGE GREATLY. WALKER AND DELANEY BOTH DID A FANTASTIC JOB, AND NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT ANYTHING, AND WE WERE SO VERY PROUD OF THEM, THEY LOVE THE UGANDAN PEOPLE SO MUCH.

Making A New Missionary

TODAY, WE TOOK DELANEY WITH US TO THE FOOD DISTRIBUTION AT KAWEMPE. I WAS ABLE TO SHOW HER WHAT WAS IN THE BAGS, THE PEOPLE THAT WOULD RECEIVE THE FOOD AND THE PLACES WHERE THEY LIVE. CHRISTINA AND DELANEY GATHERED UP ALL OF THE CHILDREN AND TOLD THEM ABOUT JESUS WITH AN EVANGE-CUBE, AND AFTER THAT, DELANEY GAVE ALL OF THE CHILDREN A LOLLIPOP. IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL CHANCE TO INVOLVE HER IN WHAT WE HAVE BEEN CALLED HERE TO DO. BOTH OF THE KIDS HAVE SUCH BIG, COMPASSIONATE HEARTS FOR THE PEOPLE HERE, AND THEY LOVE BEING INVOLVED IN OUR MINISTRY. GOD IS SO COOL!!

On Tuesday, April 15th, I went with my Ugandan brother Douglas Aliro back into the neighborhood of Kifumbira. We had been here before, due to the fact that manna ministry is conducting a crisis food distribution in this area. We normally walk all throughout these areas and greet, evangelize, and pray with people that we meet along the way. Last week we were here for the food distribution and while walking around, God led us to a group of men that were sitting around talking, and holding literature from Jehovahs Witnesses, well, we couldn't pass up this opportunity that God gave us to tell them the truth. After two hours, we had to leave, but we asked if we could come back and talk more, and they agreed that we could. So, we returned, and spent four hours with them, preaching and teaching and answering questions. There were ten men there and three of them prayed to receive Jesus, and eight of them enrolled in the Bible Way correspondence course. We will be going back every week now, to teach more and pray with this group of men that unbeknownst to them have become our newest house church, Praise the Lord.
